For more than 20 years, the Association of Private Schools of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia has been a voluntary interest organization whose aim is to defend and promote the common interests of its members — private schools in the Czech Republic enlisted in the official school register.

The Association currently comprises approximately 270 private schools across the Czech Republic, ranging from kindergartens through primary and secondary schools, higher vocational schools, and elementary art schools.

Its main purpose is to represent the common interests of private schools, enable the exchange of information, experience and professional materials, provide assistance in solving shared problems, and offer legal consultancy to its members.

The Association also distributes important information and materials from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Parliament of the Czech Republic, and other central authorities. It prepares methodological materials and expert opinions related to educational legislation and related regulations.

It is financed solely from membership contributions. However, its activities significantly affect the entire private education sector, especially in legislative comment procedures and negotiations on public funding.

The Association of Private Schools of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia is a long-term member of ECNAIS – European Council of National Associations of Independent Schools.
